John and I have had opportunity to go on many road trips and I LOVE them…Good times for sure, but we have had a few “Doh!” moments that we hope to help you avoid the next time you take a road trip. Check out these ideas! (And if you have any of your own that I missed, help a sister out! Let me know!)
Do you have:
1. Phone holder? (Makes navigation much easier to view and hear when driving. Our favorite has been the kind that attaches to a vent.)
2. Phone charger? (Multiple ports. You’re not the only digitally-needy person in the car, most likely.)
3. Quarters and Dollars? (Toll Roads. Florida alone caused us to search the recesses of our car to pay for all those dear tolls! We eventually investigated Express Passes for areas like that.)
4. Travel cups? (Yes, we have the Yeti cups, but they really work!)
5. Sunglasses? (Because…well…sun…)
6. Lap blanket? (We don’t have individual temperature settings in our car, so temp wars have happened. A blanket resolves this issue nicely.)
7. Clothes rack for back seat? (Because who wants to iron on vacay?)
8. Cooler? (Cold beverages and healthy carrots are always nice.)
9. Snacks in a Tote? (Because $15 beef jerky at the quick stop is no joke.)
10. Umbrella? (Good for excess sun and rain.)
11. Expense book/mileage book? (In case you’re on business. Things add up!)
12.Trash bags? (Makes life much easier than having 3 McDonald’s bags fall out when you open the door or an unfortunate travel sickness occurs. Please don’t ask John to recount this story.)
13. Navigation app? (This most wondrous invention has returned years to my life. Google Maps tells me the length of the trip, if traffic is ahead, alternate routes and welcomes me to new states.)
14. Print out travel info with address, departure/arrival times and dates, contact names and numbers? (This may seem over the top, but really it takes all the work out if you do it ahead of time. You just look at your already calculated travels, program your GPS and go!)
BONUS Checklist: Hotel Room Sweet Hotel Room

7. Extra hangers
